About this file
This notice provides an update to the Nuclear Forensics Research Award (NFRA) application process. Applicants submitting proposals under the Fiscal Year 2023 NFRA may have students sign award terms and conditions upon receiving the award, rather than at the time of application submission.
The NFRA is a competitive grant program under the National Nuclear Forensics Expertise Development Program administered by the Department of Homeland Security's Office of Procurement Operations. The program supports research advancing nuclear forensics and attribution capabilities through projects examining nuclear material and post-detonation debris. Eligible academic and non-profit institutions are invited to apply for funding no later than the listed deadline to conduct critical nuclear security-related research.
