About this file

The document is the MassWildlife Climate Change Resilience Grant Opportunity Application Checklist for the state of Massachusetts. This grant program seeks to establish partnerships with private or municipal landowners to reimburse them for work conducted to enhance climate-vulnerable wildlife habitats and make them more resilient to climate change. The checklist outlines the requirements for the application, including obtaining letters of approval from property owners and conservation restriction holders, providing subcontractor quotes and budget information, and submitting maps, photos, shapefiles, and information about whether the proposed project is located in an Environmental Justice Community. Applicants are advised to have a strong internet connection to facilitate the application process.

The related State and Local Contract Opportunity is for the DFW-2022-010 Climate Change Resilience Grant Opportunity, which is being administered by MassWildlife. This reimbursement grant program aims to fund habitat improvement projects in ecological communities that are disproportionally susceptible to the impacts of climate change. Applicants may be eligible for reimbursement for work conducted to enhance climate-vulnerable wildlife habitats and make them more resilient.
