Road Side Safety

PLEASE REFER TO THE JOHN DOE SAMPLE TEMPLATE FOR GUIDANCE: Brighton Asphalt & Cement Services began in 1941 and is a third-generation family-owned local Massachusetts business with a total of 100 employees. We are experienced and trained to handle virtually any asphalt and cement paving project of any size, whether it is residential, commercial or municipal.
PLEASE REFER TO THE JOHN DOE SAMPLE TEMPLATE FOR GUIDANCE_2: Brighton Asphalt & Cement Services depends on its most important asset, its' staff, to achieve its goal of delivering high level performance and unsurpassed quality within the paving industry. We understand the value of training and are committed to promoting preventative training and skills to our maintenance crew.

Each year there are thousands of injuries related to our industry from operating large construction vehicles, equipment operation and repair, asphalt fumes and staying safe from the traveling public. While some accidents involve the operator, over half involve people on the ground, passerby, spotters, co-workers, laborers and shovel hands.

Recently we experienced a paving related accident. A member from our paving crew was injured while conducting maintenance on a vehicle. It is not clear exactly how the accident occurred, what is clear is that the situation might have been avoided by reinforcing day to day safety protocols.

It is our intention, with this grant to reinforce best practices within our field by providing comprehensive preventative safety training and techniques in order to address the hazards of our industry.
