The Great Lakes Restoration Initiative Cooperative Weed Management Areas

Request for Applications Webinar

Tuesday, December 3, 2019 11:00 am Eastern/10:00 am Central

In 2010, the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI) was launched to protect and restore the Great Lakes. Two of the main goals of GLRI are managing invasive species and restoring habitat to protect native species. To help accomplish these goals, the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) is accepting applications from Cooperative Weed Management Areas (CWMAs) and other similar organizations for invasive plant management projects in the Great Lakes Basin.

To clarify the process and facilitate applications, the USFS will host a webinar to discuss various aspects of the GLRI CWMA request for applications. We will provide background information on the program, discuss eligibility and how it is determined, and will discuss how to apply for funding using the Grants.gov system. We will have time throughout the webinar for questions.

For more information, visit the USFS GLRI CWMA website. This webinar is open to all interested groups. It will be recorded and posted on the USFS GLRI CWMA web page for later viewing.
