4. List the Desired Performance Outcomes and How we will Measure to Know if Results were Achieved:

5. What is the Potential Applicant Pool and What Steps will be Taken to Ensure a Robust Competition:

After the project is complete, we expect to see a combination of the following legal assistance improvements: improved outreach to effectively reach older adults with economic or social need, improved intake strategies, better education, more deliberate partnerships to increase issue spotting and referrals, and improved delivery of full-range legal assistance. Additionally, grantees will complete a logic model and submit quantitative data quarterly through ACL’s State Program Performance Report.

The potential applicant pool consists of entities involved in the provision, administration or funding of legal assistance for older adults with social or economic need. We envision this to include legal assistance providers, Area Agencies on Aging, and State Units on Aging. Broadening the eligibility criteria will allow us to increase our applicant pool beyond state government and help ensure that more entities involved in legal service delivery will apply. We will dedicate our efforts towards significant outreach to encourage the legal assistance community to apply, and promote as broadly as possible. Outreach efforts will include Elder Bar and Title III-B Listservs, ACL press release, ACL News Bulletins, and Aging/ Disability Associations.
