Additional work includes right-of-way vegetation clearing 50 feet interior of gates and fence lines, and preparation of approximately 20 miles of 16-feet-wide fire lines. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit will be held on October 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM ET at Okaloacoochee Slough WMA Workshop in Felda, Florida. The deadline for written questions is October 9, 2026, at 5:00 PM ET, with sealed bids due October 20, 2026, at 3:00 PM ET. The public bid opening will occur on October 20, 2026, at 3:00 PM ET, and the anticipated award date is October 26, 2026. The contract will be effective for four years upon purchase order issuance to allow completion of the project, though the FWC's goal is to complete work as quickly as budget and conditions allow, with the contractor required to begin work within 30 days of purchase order issuance.
Bidders must provide unit pricing for fence removal (price per linear foot), fence installation (separate prices per linear foot for 4-strand barbed and 3-strand smooth wire), gate replacement (price per gate for each gate type), right-of-way clearing (price per tenth of a mile), and fire line installation (price per tenth mile). The Commission will award the contract to the responsive, responsible bidder submitting the lowest total bid price. All bidders must register with MyFloridaMarketPlace and SunBiz systems prior to bid opening, supply all necessary equipment and materials, and maintain applicable insurance coverage including workers' compensation and general liability. Subcontracting is not permitted. The contractor is responsible for compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines including wetland disturbance regulations, obtaining property owner permissions, locating underground utilities, and removing all debris and excess materials from the job site. Liquidated damages will be assessed at $150.00 per calendar day of delay if work is not completed by the specified completion date.

A bidder's failure to provide this supplemental information or the product sample(s), within the time set by the Commission, will cause the Commission to consider the Contractor non-responsive and reject the Contractor’s bid.
