About this file

This is Addendum 1 to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) for the Cape Sable (Raulerson Canal) Plug Sheet Pile and Geotextile Materials project. The FWC is seeking competitive pricing for the purchase and delivery of 540 linear feet of 30-foot marine-coated sheet pile and 1,060 square yards of non-woven geotextile fabric. The geotextile fabric must meet specific properties including a minimum grab tensile strength of 250 pounds, puncture strength of 90 pounds minimum, and trapezoidal tear resistance of 60 pounds minimum. Bidders were required to submit responses no later than 4 PM ET on Thursday, March 26, 2026. Work must be completed by June 12, 2026, with invoices submitted by June 19, 2026, or seven days following project completion, whichever is sooner. The ITB is solely for providing and off-loading materials; installation is not required.

No bid bonds or performance bonds are required, as this is classified as a commodity purchase rather than a construction contract. Retainage of 10 percent will be withheld from progress payments. On-site delivery is restricted to Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. All iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials must be produced in the United States. Sales taxes and other fees incurred by the contractor for material purchases may be calculated into the final linear foot and square yard pricing. Vendors must be registered in the MyFloridaMarketPlace system and with SunBiz prior to bid opening. The Notice to Proceed and start date will be determined upon contract award and purchase order issuance.
