This is an addendum to a solicitation issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) for a custom deck-style swamp buggy for use at Fisheating Creek Wildlife Management Area. The addendum, posted on January 23, 2026, addresses bidder qualifications and experience verification requirements. All bids must be received by 4:00 PM ET on February 3, 2026. The contract award is anticipated for February 9, 2026, with a one-year contract term and a June 1, 2026 delivery deadline for the completed vehicle. Bidders must submit detailed information on the Experience Form regarding their previous buggy builds, including the intended use and specialized equipment installed for each project.
In response to bidder questions regarding verification of non-government swamp buggy builds, the FWC clarified that bidders shall provide details of all previous buggy builds meeting the required experience on the Experience Form, and FWC staff will confirm the information as necessary using the contact information provided by the bidder. The solicitation includes a comprehensive payment structure with five equal 20 percent installments tied to specific build and inspection milestones. A one-year warranty is mandated covering all components, labor, and workmanship, with liquidated damages of $100 per calendar day assessed for delays beyond the completion date, except for circumstances beyond the contractor's control.
