About this file
This is an addendum to a solicitation issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) for an airboat build with engine. The solicitation number is FWC 25/26-44. Responses must be received no later than 3:30 PM Eastern Time on Thursday, February 12, 2026. The addendum addresses two questions submitted by potential bidders regarding propeller specifications and trailer inclusion. No site visits, bidder's meetings, or award dates are mentioned in this document.
The addendum clarifies that the propeller specification must comply with the scope of work requirement for a Sensenich 4-blade carbon fiber wide propeller of appropriate length and pitch, or an FWC staff-approved equivalent. The proposed alternative 3-blade 86" Sensenich propeller is not approved as an equivalent. Additionally, the FWC will provide and deliver an existing trailer for the airboat build, so bidders should not include trailer costs in their proposals. The trailer provided will accommodate the airboat specifications listed in the solicitation. Bidders must be registered with both the MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) system and SunBiz prior to bid opening.

FWC SOLICITATION ADDENDUM 2
BEGIN ADDENDUM
QUESTION #1
The Specifications call for a 4 Blade Sensenich Prop. However, after extensive testing a 3 Blade 86" Sensenich prop out performs the 4 Blade. For the 4 Blade to be in the efficient range you need over 600 Horsepower to achieve the appropriate pitch angle for ideal performance. We can provide the 4 Blade requested but the 3 Blade 86" would make the boat perform better and have cost savings. This is a very common setup for us.
ANSWER #1
Per 19.1 in the SOW, the propeller shall be a Sensenich 4-blade carbon fiber wide propeller, or FWC staff approved equivalent, of the appropriate length and pitch to ensure maximum performance and engine life. The proposed 3 Blade 86” Sensenich propeller is not approved as an equivalent. Please ensure that propellers align with the specifications provided in the scope of work.
QUESTION #2
Most airboat solicitations also include the Trailer. Reaching out to confirm that a trailer is not being included or requested?
ANSWER #2
The Commission will provide and deliver an existing trailer for this airboat build. The trailer provided will accommodate airboat specifications listed in the solicitation.
