About this file

This document is an Addendum issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) for Solicitation No. FWC 24/25-79 regarding Boat Motors and Related Components. The addendum provides clarifications and answers to potential vendor questions, with responses submitted due by 4:00 PM (ET) on April 10, 2025. The FWC seeks boat motors across various horsepower ranges, primarily focusing on motors from 60hp up to 350hp. The solicitation allows vendors to provide discounts on different motor categories, with the commission preferring Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts and only considering listed manufacturers in the bid response.

The addendum reveals that specific quantities of motor items are unknown and can vary annually, which impacts precise pricing strategies. Vendors are instructed to provide discount percentages as a range for the Components, Parts, and Accessories category. The solicitation does not include service-related categories, and for motor brands no longer manufactured, vendors can respond with parts and accessories discounts. The FWC indicates a preference for OEM parts and will only consider manufacturers explicitly listed in the original request for proposal (RFP), limiting additional manufacturer submissions.

FWC SOLICITATION ADDENDUM 2

BEGIN ADDENDUM

QUESTION #1

I noticed that there are no specific models or horsepower range, or part numbers listed, which are essential for us to provide an accurate discount.

Could you please provide further details on the specific items you're looking for, or let us know how you'd like to proceed in sharing that information? This will allow us to tailor the discount accordingly, as pricing can vary depending on the product details and quantities.

ANSWER #1

The specific quantities of each item are unknown at this time and can vary from year to year. We would like all horsepower quoted. However, FWC primarily uses from 60hp up to 350’s.

QUESTION #2

Is it possible to add a Category of Service or Related Services or may Service/Services be bid as part of Components, Parts and Accessories?

ANSWER #2

No, services are not included in this RFP.

QUESTION #3

For Components, Parts and Accessories pricing, discounts may vary within these three categories. Is it preferred to respond with a correlating discount to each or a range to the lowest available discount of the individual categories?

ANSWER #3

Discount percentages should be listed as a range for Category C - Components, Parts, and Accessories.

QUESTION #4

For motor brands that are no longer manufactured, it is acceptable to only respond with

Parts & Accessories % Discount Off Of List? Since these manufacturers are no longer manufactured, is it acceptable to provide 3rd party manufactured products?

ANSWER #4

Yes, you can respond to just the parts and accessories. We prefer OEM parts.
