About this file
This document is an addendum to a solicitation issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) for Tree and Shrub Maintenance in the Everglades Complex of Wildlife Management Areas (ECWMA). The ECWMA includes the Everglades & Frances S. Taylor Wildlife Management Area (EWMA), Holey Land Wildlife Management Area (HWMA), and Rotenberger Wildlife Management Area (RWMA). The solicitation requests bids for the annual maintenance of approximately 8,000-10,000 planted tree and shrub exclosures across 91 tree islands covering an estimated 150 total acres. Responses are due by 2:00 PM ET on November 26, 2024. The awarded contractor will be provided with geo-referenced maps to navigate the areas. The addendum provides clarifying information, including the total number of exclosures per management area and the estimated 5% or less replacement rate for damaged exclosures. The contract does not require a prevailing wage, and partial payments will be allowed on a per 100 tree/shrub exclosure basis upon completion of deliverables.
The solicitation does not mention any small business set-asides or incumbent contractors. Funding for this contract will come from the state of Florida. Overall, this addendum provides additional details to assist bidders in preparing responsive proposals for the tree and shrub maintenance services required across the ECWMA.

BEGIN ADDENDUM #1
Question #1: How many total tree islands are there containing the 8,000-10,000 exclosures to be maintained in the ECWMA?
Answer #1: There are currently 91 tree islands in ECWMA containing exclosures:
71 islands in Everglades & Frances S. Taylor WMA; 13 islands in Rotenberger WMA; and 7 islands in Holey Land WMA. These numbers may fluctuate if more planting occurs on additional islands or all exclosures are removed from existing islands.
Question #2: Are you able to provide an Avenza or geo-reference map for tree island locations?
Answer #2: Yes, the awarded Bidder will be provided with geo-referenced maps to navigate the areas.

WMA?
Answer #3: The acreage of tree islands with exclosures in EWMA is estimated to be
90 acres.
Question #4: How many estimated tree shelters are on Everglades & Frances S.
Taylor WMA?
Answer #4: There are roughly 5,325 exclosures in EWMA.
