About this file
This document is an addendum to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's (FWC) Solicitation No. FWC 24/25-17 for the "MIAMI-DADE 4 TRAP LINES TEGU REMOVAL" project. The addendum provides responses to two questions submitted by bidders. The first question seeks clarification on how to interpret the bid total, and the response indicates that with the updated price sheet, the total bid price would be $27. The second question asks if an Employer Identification Number (EIN) is sufficient for the Unique Entity Identifier (UEI), and the response states that the UEI is different from an EIN and the two should not be used interchangeably.
The underlying state and local contract opportunity is for the removal of tegus (an invasive lizard species) from four trap lines in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The contract is open to competitive bidding, and vendors must be registered in the MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) system and with SunBiz prior to the bid opening, which is scheduled for 2:30 PM (ET) on Thursday, October 31, 2024.

FWC SOLICITATION ADDENDUM 2
BEGIN ADDENDUM
QUESTION #1
It has been our experience that verbiage used for requesting BID TOTALS can have several interpretations. This is evidenced when two bidders submit totals that are in a close range and two other bidders, because of a different interpretation, submit totals that are also close to each other yet vastly different from the other two bids.
Using arbitrary numbers, is the correct interpretation as follows; A. is $1 (per month if submitted by bidder) and B. is $2 (per month if submitted by bidder) and the TOTAL BID
PRICE is $36 ($12 + $24)?
ANSWER #1
This question refers to the previous iteration of the price sheet. Post addendum one, a unit price of $1 in the initial term and a unit price of $2 in the renewal year, would generate extended prices of $9 and $18, respectively. Adding these two values together would provide a total bid price of $27.
QUESTION #2
Is an EIN sufficient for a Unique Entity Identifier?
ANSWER #2
No. The Unique Entity ID (UEI) is assigned to a business when they register for
SAM.gov. This number is different from an Employer Identification Number (EIN), and the two should not be used interchangeably.
