About this file

This is a Notice of Withdrawal document issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) regarding Solicitation FWC 24/25-100 for Timber Sale Administration services on the Apalachicola River Wildlife and Environmental Area (WEA). The original solicitation was posted on November 21, 2025, with proposals due by December 12, 2025. The FWC received fewer than two responsive bids and has elected to withdraw the competitive solicitation effective December 16, 2025. As a result, the agency will no longer proceed with the original sealed bid process and will instead pursue an exceptional purchase through direct negotiation, as authorized under Florida Statutes Section 287.057(6).

The withdrawal removes this procurement from the competitive bidding process and allows the FWC to negotiate directly with a potential vendor on terms and conditions favorable to the State of Florida. The document specifies that this purchase exception is authorized by law and exempts the agency from standard competitive procurement requirements. Vendors or interested parties may file protests regarding this withdrawal with the FWC Purchasing Office at 1875 Orange Avenue East, Tallahassee, Florida 32311-6160 within the timeframe prescribed in Florida Statutes Section 120.57(3) and Florida Administrative Code Chapter 28-110. No specific budget amount, incumbent contractor information, or contract term details are provided in this withdrawal notice.
