About this file

This document is an addendum to a solicitation issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) for the "Targeted Python Removal" project. The addendum includes a question from a prospective bidder regarding the process to obtain access keys for the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) levees, and FWC's response that they do not manage the SFWMD keys, and the bidder should contact SFWMD directly. The original solicitation seeks competitive bids to provide survey and removal services to assist FWC in mitigating the spread and impact of pythons in south Florida. Bids are due by 2:00 PM ET on Thursday, March 7, 2024. Protests must be filed with FWC's Procurement Office within the time prescribed in Florida Statutes.

FWC 23/24-87 ADDENDUM #1 2

BEGIN ADDENDUM #1

Item #1: Question and Answer

Question #1: I reached out to SFWMD a couple months back about what I need to do in order to acquire an access key for the levees. All they gave me was the information to apply for their python action team. Do you have a number or proper person I could reach out to in order to start that process?

Answer #1: The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission does not manage SFWMD keys for the levees, the best organization to contact regarding the question above is SFWMD. The following may be helpful, SFWMD has a permit page which includes a link for Key Permit Access:
