BEGIN ADDENDUM

At the pre-bid meeting, it was indicated that the Classroom building would slide forward with realignment of the walks. Please provide a detail showing the changes and which concrete walls are to be installed and indicate the walks to have a cover.

The proposed covered walkway, restroom and classroom are shown correctly on sheet C1. See attached, enlarged site plan with covered walkway highlighted in yellow. The covered walkway connects the existing cabin with the proposed restroom and classroom building.

Confirm the existing dirt pile shown on page C1 is not to be used due to incapability.

The existing dirt pile shown on sheet C1 is no longer available as fill material. All soil needed for the backstop will need to be supplied from an off-site source.

Ceramic Tile and Linoleum Floor Covering: Do you have a basis for material?

Ceramic Tile: Use “Bevalo” glazed porcelain floor tile and glazed ceramic wall tile or user approved equal. Color to be selected by owner.

Linoleum: Use “MIRRA” Luxury Vinyl Tiles – Mirra wood series or user approved equal. Color to be selected by owner.

No gutter shown on Firing Line structure, is this correct?

Yes, the firing line structure does not include gutters.

5‐Stand roof plans indicate two typical gutter styles, do you want a typical OG style gutter?

Gutters on 5-Stand structure are to be seamless K-style gutters also known as “ogee” gutters.

5‐Stand roof panel standard is called out as A&S Double‐Loc Standing Seam Steel Roof Panel System, there is no typical noted for the Firing Line. Would matching the system on the existing building as called for on the classroom/restroom buildings be acceptable for the 5-Stand and Firing Line?

Yes, the 5-Stand and Firing Line roof system should match the new classroom and restroom buildings, which should match the existing pavilion.

Bid Form: Deductive Alternate No. 2: The plans show this as an additional item, and the summary reads to provide. Are we to include this material installation in the base bid and then deduct it out under the Deductive Alternate No. 2 or is this alternate an add item?

Include the “Troy System” materials and labor in the base bid total. Provide a lump sum cost for the “Troy System” as Deductive Alternate No.2.

Total bid price to include base bid (range facilities) and alternate No. 1 (classroom and restroom) combined, minus Deductive Alternate No. 2 (Troy System).

Verify locations of classroom, restroom, and covered walkway.

See answer to Question #1.

Please clarify septic tank abandonment.

The existing septic system shown on sheet C1, labeled to be abandoned, will remain in place, and will continue to serve the existing cabin.

Please clarify tree removal.

The existing oak tree close to the new restroom location should be removed and the stump ground.

Clarify the use of the access road.

No vehicular access will be allowed across the dam. Construction access for the range facilities will be through a service road off Cattle Gap Road, around the south side of the pond. The contractor will have access to this service road during normal construction hours.

Please provide the anticipated budget for this project.

$1.1 Million - Previous bids submitted for the project were less than $1.1 million dollars. The scope of the project has not changed. FWC was unable to accept the previous low bid due to a procedural issue with how the bid was classified and advertised. This issue has been resolved and we anticipate awarding the low bidder the contract for construction.

Are toilet accessories to be by owner? If not, please provide a toilet accessory schedule.

Toilet accessories are to be provided by the contractor.

Toilet accessory list:

- Surface mounted soap dispenser. Bobrick B-279

- Surface mounted waste receptacle Bobrick B-279

- 36” & 54” grab bars Bobrick B-5806x36, B-5806x42

- Toilet Tissue Dispensing for two roles Bobrick B-121

- Clothes hook Bobrick B-212

- Electric hand dryer Xcelerator XL-GR

- 18” X 30” mirror

There is a note for the Restroom Floor Plan on Sheet A1 that states that exterior doors are metal insulated. On the Door Schedule, the notes call for Type 1 to be fiberglass pre-hung door units. Please clarify which is correct.

Use metal, six panel doors.

Will the contractor be allowed to tap the existing 200 AMP service at the site for temporary power on the classroom and restroom construction or will a temporary power pole and separate meter for power be required?

The contractor will be allowed to tap into existing 200 AMP service adjacent to the proposed classroom and restroom buildings.

question #16 Are power and water available in the construction area for the firing range facilities?

ANSWER #16

There is an existing overhead electric line near the proposed range area. The contractor will need to arrange for temporary electric service through the local utility company or use a generator. Water is not available at the range construction area. The contractor will have to supply their own water at this location.
