This document is an addendum to a solicitation issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) for Babcock Ranch Preserve Road Work. The solicitation seeks competitive pricing for providing, delivering, and grading DOT certified shell road base material (Code B02 - Bank Run Shell Base) along approximately 1.8 miles of road within the Babcock Ranch Preserve. Access to the site is from County Road 720 (Loblolly Bay Rd SW) to the Muse Gate. The shell material is to be spread and graded to a minimum depth of 6 inches and a width of 14-18 feet, with at least a 4-inch center crown. Responses are due no later than 10:30 AM (ET) on January 31, 2023. There was a pre-bid conference held on January 12, 2023, and all work must be completed by June 30, 2023.
The solicitation does not allow for any substitutions to the specified DOT certified shell road base material. The contractor is responsible for spreading and grading the material but is not required to grade the existing road prior to placement. There are no set delivery hours, and work can be performed on Saturdays. The project is located within Leon County and the City of Tallahassee.
