About this file
This document is an addendum to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's (FWC) Solicitation No. FWC 22/23-15 for LAKE TOHOPEKALIGA AQUATIC PLANT HARVESTING. The addendum provides answers to questions regarding the removal of cattail plants, including that all plant material must be removed down to mineralized soil. It also addresses concerns about the project timelines, indicating that the 7-day notice to work and 10-day start period will not impact the project completion. Bids for this project are due by 11:30 AM ET on September 20, 2022. The project will be awarded and a notice to proceed issued, at which point the contractor can mobilize and begin work.
The solicitation is open to all vendors registered in the MyFloridaMarketPlace system and with SunBiz. Pricing terms, set asides, and funding sources are not detailed in this addendum. The project will take place in Leon County and the City of Tallahassee, Florida.

FWC SOLICITATION ADDENDUM 2
BEGIN ADDENDUM
QUESTION #1
Does the entire cattail plant have to removed, roots and all from the work area?
ANSWER #1
All plant material must be removed down to mineralized soil (sand/hard bottom).
QUESTION #2
Please clarify if the cattails are allowed to be cut or will they be required to be removed from the root system?
ANSWER #2
All plant material must be removed down to mineralized soil (sand/hard bottom).
QUESTION #3
There is a concern that the 7-day notice to work and the 10 days that a vendor would have to start the project could impact the finish time of the project.
Would those timelines be flexible so the vendor could receive notice sooner with the intent of meeting current project deadlines.
ANSWER #3
These times are not going to impact the finish time of the project. Once the purchase order is processed and the notice to proceed is sent to the vendor, work can begin. The
Commission Project Manager will be able to coordinate with the awarded contractor on potential mobilization dates once the project is awarded.
