About this file

This document is a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Agriculture Conservation Experienced Services (ACES) Program, which is administered by the Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). The ACES Program utilizes individuals age 55 and older to provide technical services in support of NRCS conservation-related programs.

The NOFO invites nonprofit private agencies and organizations eligible under the Community Service Senior Opportunities Act to secure participants for the ACES Program. While there is no direct funding available under this announcement, approved applicants will be awarded national agreements making them eligible to enter into individual agreements that provide funding for services. The geographic area covered includes all 50 states, District of Columbia, Caribbean Area, and Pacific Islands Area. New awards will be made on August 31, 2025, for a five-year period, with no minimum or maximum award amount guaranteed. NRCS anticipates making up to five awards. The ACES Program is associated with several USDA conservation-related grant programs including the Conservation Security Program, Agricultural Conservation Easement Program, and Environmental Quality Incentives Program, among others. The application deadline is January 13, 2025, and NRCS expects to execute the awards by May 15, 2025.
