About this file

This document is Addendum No. 2 for the Fourmile MTB Park project, issued by Polk County Conservation on February 16, 2024, for Invitation to Bid (ITB) 2024-002. The addendum provides critical updates for the mountain bike trail construction project, including a new requirement for bidders to complete a Worksheet Authorization to Transact Business form, details for a virtual bid opening via Zoom scheduled for February 22, 2024, at 3:00 PM Central Time, and responses to two contractor questions about licensing and potential bridge installation.

Key clarifications include guidance that contractors must register with the Iowa Division of Labor and file with the Secretary of State, with bids accepted from firms that have submitted and are awaiting their certificate of authority. The certificate must be provided by March 13, 2024, for project award. Additionally, Polk County Conservation has indicated openness to discussing bridge installation with the awarded contractor, potentially integrating this component into the trail construction contract rather than pursuing a separate future bid package. The addendum emphasizes flexibility and collaborative approach to project implementation while maintaining clear administrative requirements for bidding participants.
