About this file
This document is a Quick Quote solicitation issued by Collier County's Procurement Services Division for Fountain Cleaning and Aeration Maintenance services. The project involves maintenance for a waterway with an aeration system and floating fountain, with services to be performed monthly and quarterly. Specific requirements include aquatic weed control, shoreline weed control, pond algae control, littoral shelf management, fountain maintenance (quarterly), and aeration system maintenance (semi-annually). The solicitation was released on August 23, 2024, with questions due by September 6, 2024, and responses submitted by September 16, 2024, at 11:00am through the county's online bidding system.
The contract is structured as a one-time purchase with firm pricing, requiring the selected vendor to be a licensed pesticide applicator in Florida. Insurance requirements are extensive, including $1,000,000 in commercial general liability, $100,000 in employer's liability, and $1,000,000 in pollution coverage. The vendor must provide all necessary herbicides, algaecides, and surfactants at no additional cost, and will be responsible for equipment, permits, and comprehensive reporting after each site visit. The pricing proposal requests a monthly cost for all specified services, with the county planning to select the responsive vendor with the lowest quote.
