About this file
This is a Bidder Price Response Form for RFP 103-26 Fire Alarm Maintenance, Service and Repair with the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (M.B.T.A.). The procurement is for comprehensive testing, repair, and maintenance services of the M.B.T.A.'s fire alarm systems over a three-year contract term. All work must comply with the Notice to Bidders and Technical Specification F-1 accompanying the proposal. Bidders must submit responses for all line items to be considered responsive, as the contract will be awarded in its entirety.
The pricing response consists of four itemized components: Item 1 requires a total monthly testing fee multiplied by 12 months across the three-year term; Item 2 addresses additional services for repair, upgrade, and maintenance at an hourly rate applied to 3,640 estimated hours per year over three years; Item 3 covers overtime calls at an hourly rate applied to 1,456 estimated hours per year over three years; and Item 4establishes an additional parts allocation of $75,000 annually totaling $225,000 over the three-year period. Items 2, 3, and 4 are designated as estimates subject to operational needs with no guaranteed quantities, though all quoted prices must remain firm throughout the contract term. The basis of award is the sum of all four items.
