Amendment 0001 for FN1289-09

Q: The economic price adjustment on page 12 states that after twenty four (24) months pricing may be adjusted for the next twenty four (24) months based on a change in a Producer Price Index. This contradicts Section B which asks for option year 1 – 5 pricing. Do we need to provide option year pricing if future price adjustments are tied to an index?

A: Yes, you need to provide option year pricing. The EPA is for the five (5) base years only, the Option year pricing will stand as quoted.

Q: Section B – Items 1 and 2 are identical to items 3 and 4. Are these items suppose to be different and if so what are the differences?

A: Items 1 and 2 are for FOB destination to Allenwood, PA and Items 3 and 4 are for FOB destination to Florence, CO

Q: Backup Supplier: In cases where there is an inmate disturbance, fire, or other circumstance, upon request of the Program Manager or his/her designee, the contractor(s) shall assist FPI in the fulfillment of government orders. The contractor(s) will not bill FPIs customers direct. UNICOR will pay the FPI advertised catalog price for the items shipped to our customers from the contractor. FPI may obtain fabric or request the contractor(s) to purchase fabric or leather from our source or other contractor(s) suppliers.

A: Delete the following from page 8 Backup Supplier. : FPI may obtain fabric or request the contractor(s) to purchase fabric or leather from our source or other contractor(s) suppliers. UNICOR will purchase all fabric required for this product from fabric supplier.

Q: Section C (page 5) states the various lines of seating must have a minimum structural integrity of 10 years and a minimum of 10 years for parts and durability warranty. The product warranty section on page 8 states all products supplied under this contract will be warranted for life. Please clarify the warranty requirements of this solicitation.

A: The warranty requirements are 10 years and a minimum of 10 years for parts and durability warranty or better.

Except as provided herein, all other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
