About this file

This document is a U.S. Army Market Survey for the production of Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) Armor Protection Kits, seeking to determine industry interest and capability in manufacturing B-Kits and Underbody Armor Kits (UAK) for various FMTV vehicle variants. The survey covers multiple National Stock Numbers (NSNs) for 58-gallon and 78-gallon B-Kits, which include opaque and transparent armor packages with fuel tank fire suppression systems, as well as Underbody Armor Kits for FMTV A1P2 and A2 models, featuring armor panels, blast seats, reinforced cab doors, and additional components like lift cylinders and mounting kits.

The market survey invites potential contractors to respond to a comprehensive questionnaire addressing administrative information, security clearances, manufacturing capabilities, testing processes, production capacities, quality standards, and technical challenges. Responses must be submitted within 30 days of posting to SAM.gov, sent via email to specified Army Contracting Command contacts. The U.S. Government is considering a potential contract term of five to ten years, with no immediate requirements but potential future procurement through Foreign Military Sales. The survey emphasizes that this is not a Request for Proposal and participation is voluntary, with no compensation provided for responses.
