About this file

The document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) posted by the Florida Board of Governors. The document describes the intent to purchase a single-source contract with Florida Trend magazine to provide articles highlighting the State University System (SUS) of Florida in their publications over a one-year period. The total estimated value of the contract is $70,000. Florida Trend is described as the only statewide monthly business publication in Florida that reaches a readership of 270,000, including business leaders and political decision-makers across the state. The SUS information provided in Florida Trend is critical to expanding the Board's message of a high-quality and affordable education to families and stakeholders across the state.

The justification for the single-source acquisition is that Florida Trend is the only publication that can provide the intended services. The Board has determined that the commodities or contractual services are available only from this single source. Prospective vendors are requested to provide information regarding their ability to supply the requested services, and the Board will provide notice of its intended decision to enter a single-source purchase contract.
