About this file

This document is an Addendum to a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) for a Mobile Data Computing (MDC) Solution. The addendum revises several sections of the RFP, including the definition of business hours, MDC solution specifications, and quantities of required equipment such as single or linked platforms, vehicle-mounted docking/charging systems, mobile printers, desktop docking systems, and roadside biometric fingerprint identification solutions. The RFP requires a comprehensive MDC solution, with no option for partial responses. The total estimated quantity for the single or linked platforms is 2,100 units, and the contract term is 44 months with the option for renewal.

The addendum also includes questions and answers from potential vendors regarding display size, processor requirements, operating system preferences, and other technical specifications. FLHSMV has indicated a maximum budget of $3 million per state fiscal year for this project and has provided details on the existing vehicle fleet and installation locations. The maintenance and repair agreement will be limited to the new MDC solution, and the contractor will be responsible for equipping the entire fleet with any new model or configuration changes.
