About this file

This document is an Addendum to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) for a Uniform Apparel contract. The ITB seeks a qualified contractor to provide uniform apparel for approximately 746 FLHSMV employees across the state. The estimated quantities are for a 3-year period, and orders may be placed from various offices throughout Florida. Delivery of all items is required within 14 days of order placement. The Department intends to award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder submitting the lowest "Grand Total Price" on the provided Price Sheet.

Regarding pricing, the Department requires that all shipping and delivery costs be included in the bid prices, and there is no process for modifying prices annually during the contract renewal period. The current contract holder is DGG Uniform & Work Apparel, and over the last 5 years, the total expenditures have ranged from approximately $5,700 to $42,000 annually. The Department has provided additional clarification on ordering procedures, embroidery requirements, and color specifications in response to questions received from prospective bidders.
