About this file

This document is an award notification from the Florida Keys Electric Cooperative Association, Inc. (FKEC) for Bid #25-10, which sought specifications for purchasing one new O.E.M. SF6 interrupter bottle. The bid was awarded to Irby Utilities on March 13, 2025, for a specific circuit switcher replacement part (S & C part number SA-42900-A) with serial number 00-18387. The document specifies that the new bottle should be delivered directly from the S & C factory with protective shielding, linkage locking parts, and full factory warranty intact.

FKEC explicitly notes that this was not a public bid opening and therefore will not share detailed proposal information. The cooperative asserts that under Florida Statute Title X, Chapter 119, it does not meet the definition of a "state and local government agency" and is thus not subject to statute enforcement. FKEC reserves the right to protect its own privacy and that of its bidders and vendors, referencing a link to the Florida legislative statutes for further understanding of the "Sunshine Law" applicability.
