About this file
This document is an award posting from the Florida Keys Electric Cooperative Association, Inc. (FKEC) for Bid #24-23, which pertains to the purchase of three new 3-phase medium voltage interrupts. The bid was awarded to ABB Installation Products on December 6, 2024. FKEC explicitly notes that this was not a public bid opening, and therefore, they cannot share the details of the winning proposal.
The cooperative emphasizes its status as a non-governmental entity, citing Florida Statute Title X, Chapter 119, to assert that it does not meet the definition of a "state and local government agency" and is therefore not subject to certain statutory enforcement requirements. FKEC reserves the right to protect its own privacy and that of its bidders and vendors, and provides a reference link to the Florida statute for further understanding of the "Sunshine Law" application.
