About this file
This is a First Article Requirements form (AFMC IMT 260) dated 12 MAR 2025 for a federal contract item. The requirement covers 1 unit of NSN 4720013623482FW, issued under PR/MIPR number 81205/DAA3515A011-019 by the CAGE/Reference number 81205/DAA3515A011-019. The first article will be part of the production quantity and will serve as a manufacturing standard. Long lead time items are required, and special production facility requirements apply—the first article must be manufactured at the facilities where production items will be produced, with required certification.
Both contractor testing and government testing are mandatory. Performance and technical requirements are defined by engineering drawing and documented in a First Article Inspection (Test) Report. The test report must be submitted to AFLCMC/LZPED at Tinker AFB with an estimated government testing/inspection cost of $13,300.12. The first article must be delivered within 180 calendar days from contract date, with 30 days' prior notification of shipment. Government approval or disapproval notice is due within 180 days of receiving the contractor's report. Approved first articles will be installed on aircraft/equipment to determine proper fit/function and will remain on equipment as part of contract quantity. Disapproved articles will be retained by USAF Supply pending contractor disposition instructions. First article testing will not be waived. A Certificate of Compliance and Material Certification is required. The cognizant engineering organization responsible for approving and conducting testing is Charles, Parker J at 424 SCMS/GU E A A, contact 405-734-7592.
