About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for hand railing fabrication and installation at the James A. Haley Veterans Administration Medical Center in Tampa, Florida. The project involves fabricating and installing approximately 64 feet of steel pipe guard rails in two separate locations: a visitor drop-off area and a delivery area, with specific requirements including blue powder coating for one section and priming (without painting) for the other. The contractor must have three years of experience in handrail or metal fabrication and provide two project examples from the past two years.
Performance requirements include completing all tasks within 120 calendar days after Notice to Proceed, working primarily during first shift hours (8:00am to 5:00pm) with potential weekend work, and adhering to strict quality assurance and employee conduct standards. The project is associated with a Sources Sought Notice (Solicitation Number 36C24826Q0222) issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network 8 (VISN 8), seeking potential qualified sources for load zone handrailing at the Spinal Clinic.
