About this file
This document is a Request for Bid (RFB) issued by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Division of Purchases on behalf of the Division of Maintenance to award a master agreement contract for Coarse Aggregates 2024. The RFB specifies the required item characteristics, including gradation, shale content, and stability requirements. Bids will only be accepted for the specified counties, and awards will be made to responsive bidders with approved sources or redistribution yards. Deliveries can be either vendor-delivered to the agency's trucks or delivered by the vendor to the project site or stockpile location, with pricing based on unit price plus hauling costs as applicable. The initial contract period is from award through December 31, 2024, with no renewal options.
Pricing is firm, with no adjustments allowed. Best value will be determined based on the sum of the bidder's unit price plus the assumed or actual hauling costs. Preferences may be applied for Kentucky resident bidders, qualified bidders, and the Department of Corrections Division of Prison Industries. Vendors may indicate their willingness to serve only the Transportation Cabinet, any state agency, or all state agencies and political subdivisions.
