About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the repair and upgrade of 50 malfunctioning Variable Action Button (VAB) panels for the Department of the Navy's Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). The VAB panels are used in the TI-16 Common Display System (CDS) Consoles for the Ships Self Defense System (SSDS).

The SOW requires the contractor to evaluate the VAB panels, determine the best course of action to repair them to 100% operational status, and implement the necessary upgrades using the VAB Base Upgrade Kit and optional VAB Upgrade Kit. The contractor must provide a list of any panels determined to be unrepairable. The goal is to have all 50 VAB panels restored to full operational capability per OEM specifications.

This requirement is being solicited as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) under Solicitation Number N0017825Q6612 with an anticipated closing date of November 1, 2024 and an anticipated award in November 2024. The order will be firm-fixed price, and award will be made to the lowest priced technically acceptable offer. The incumbent manufacturer, Comark LLC, is the only eligible contractor due to their exclusive access to the required proprietary components.
