About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a carpet cleaning services solicitation at Edwards Air Force Base, California. The Q&A provides detailed clarifications about the carpet cleaning requirement, including that the current stage is a Request for Information (RFI) for market research purposes. Key details include: the cleaning area is 13,614 square feet on the first floor, comprising approximately 26 rooms/offices and 67 cubicles, with cleaning to be performed on Saturdays during normal business hours (0800-1700). The carpet has never been professionally cleaned before, and movable furniture will be relocated by CEV prior to cleaning.
Additional important information covers logistics and requirements: staff will need base access requiring a basic background check processed through the Visitor Control Center (3 days advance notice required), contractors will have onsite access to water and electricity, and payment will be processed through the Government Purchase Card (GPC). Subcontracting is permitted if base contracting approves, and the work is expected to be completed within 15 days after contract award. The solicitation is for an open market acquisition under NAICS code 561720, with a size standard of $22M, and offers are due by 22 July 2025 at 11:00 AM Pacific Standard Time.
