Industry Day Announcement Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Armament Directorate:

Air Force Long-Range Weapon – Kickoff Hosted by AFLCMC/EB August 25-26, 2026 Introduction:

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Armament Directorate (EB) is hosting a classified Industry Day to provide information and requirements to interested vendors regarding the new Air Force Longe Range Weapon (AFLRW). The AFLRW is aimed at addressing the next generation of Air-Launched Standoff Weapon variants in line with Department of War priorities. AFLRW may select multiple vendors for both the Air-to-Air (A/A) and Air-to-Surface (A/S) variants with a focus on A/A solutions for Initial Operational Capability. Both variants will have a threshold minimum range of 1,000 NM and be capable of striking respective A/A and A/S targets in Defense Planning Scenario 2.1 and 7.1 environments in a responsive manner. AFLRW will seek vendors for each variant’s initial production rounds to meet threshold requirements. Additionally, production rounds must comply with Weapons Open Systems Architecture (WOSA) and Government Reference Architecture (GRA) requirements. To maximize participation, the Government is seeking traditional and non-traditional industry vendors who are interested in providing solutions to either of the following in priority order:

1. All-up-round Solutions - Deliver a vertically integrated missile system, managing both subsystem design and manufacturing for initial AFLRW A/A and/or A/S variants compliant with WOSA and GRA requirements.

2. Weapon System Integrator Solutions - Act as the Master Integrator. Responsible for integrating diverse subsystems into the physical missile shell. This role:

a. Maintains WOSA compliance, Incorporates the Government Reference Architecture (GRA), and runs the digital twin environment.

b. Integrates government-directed and third-party modular components into the AUR to meet objective requirements at the agreed upon cost of the government.

AFLCMC/EB will host a two-day Industry Day event on 25 and 26 August 2026 at the Guided Weapons Evaluation Facility (GWEF) Eglin AFB, FL. EB requests Industry reply with the intent of participation not later than 24 July 2026. This posting is an initial announcement; subsequential releases will take place prior to and in support of Industry Day and will be sent directly to cleared industry partners who plan to attend. The Industry Day is intended to facilitate research and generate creative solutions in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part -10 – Market Research.

This two-day engagement will provide a comprehensive overview of the AFLRW’s purpose, performance requirements, and fielding timeline with the goal of soliciting industry feedback on potential solutions for the A/A and A/S variants. Industry should expect a quick-turn Whitepaper Request for Information following the event focused on the 2 solution types above for both variants. AFLCMC is seeking the next generation of Air-Launched Long-Range Weapon variants that expand the United States’ ability to hit priority air, land, and sea targets far and fast!
