About this file

The document is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the County of Orange, California's OC Public Works Department for the Crawford Canyon Park and Sidewalk Extension Project. The project involves comprehensive infrastructure and park development, including clearing and grubbing, demolition, grading, constructing an entrance drive, parking lot, playgrounds for different age groups, exercise stations, concrete walkways, pedestrian bridges, site furnishings, irrigation systems, landscaping, electrical improvements, storm drain construction, traffic signal upgrades, guardrail installation, and fencing. The bid is fully electronic and only pre-qualified contractors are eligible to submit proposals. Key dates include January 16, 2024, for question submissions by 2:00 PM, and January 23, 2024, for bid and original bid security submissions by 2:00 PM.

The project requires a Class A contractor's license and compliance with Labor Code Section 1771.1(a) regarding contractor registration. Bidders must submit a 10% bid security, non-collusion declaration, Iran Contracting Form, and other specified documentation. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, with the potential for further negotiations. Prevailing wages must be paid for all work performed, and contractors must provide comprehensive insurance within ten calendar days of award recommendation. The project's total scope suggests significant infrastructure investment, with detailed specifications for each component of the park and sidewalk extension, indicating a comprehensive approach to community infrastructure development.
