ADDENDUM NO. 1 FOR FENCE REPAIRS AT NAWILIWILI HARBOR

This is Addendum No. 1 to the solicitation issued by the Hawaii Department of Transportation, Harbors Division for fence repairs at Nawiliwili Harbor on the Island of Kauai under Project No. DOT-HAR-K-26-05R. The addendum postpones the bid deadline from September 3, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time to September 17, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. HST. The work involves repairs and replacement of 6-foot and 8-foot chain link fencing with barbed wire assemblies, posts, and gates, as well as demolition and disposal of existing fencing materials and wheel stops. The proposal schedule includes 36 line items covering chain link fencing components tiered by work area size (1-100 linear feet, 101-300 linear feet, and 301+ linear feet), end and line posts, personnel gates, vehicle gates ranging from 20 to 40 feet, and demolition services. Specific quantities are provided for certain items, including 30 line posts for 8-foot fencing in areas of 301+ linear feet, 101 linear feet of demolition work for mid-size areas, and 602 linear feet for larger demolition areas. All bidders must submit complete proposals through the Hawaii eProcurement System (HIePRO) prior to the revised deadline, with failure to upload resulting in bid rejection.

The addendum replaces pages P-9 through P-12 of the original proposal schedule dated July 23, 2026 with revised pages dated August 26, 2026. Bidders are responsible for completing all unit prices and bid amounts, with discrepancies between unit prices and total amounts resolved in favor of unit prices. The contract is structured as an open-ended agreement with unit prices applied to actual work performed through individual purchase orders. All bids must include federal, state, county, and applicable taxes and fees. The total amount for comparison of bids will determine the lowest responsible bidder. Original hard-copy proposals are not required, and contract award will be based on evaluation of proposals submitted through HIePRO.
