About this file
This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) for the acquisition of IBIS® BRASSTRAX™ Acquisition Stations and IBIS® MATCHPOINT™ Analysis Stations. The procurement is for two years, with the document posted on 9/5/25 and the last day for receipt of information set for 9/26/25. The specific items are forensic chemical workstations designed to connect to the Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) IBIS® Data Concentrator and IBIS® Correlation Server, to be used for ballistic imaging and analysis.
The estimated dollar amount for this single-source procurement is $1,500,000.00, with Ultra Electronics Forensic Technology Inc (UEFTI) identified as the sole manufacturer of these systems. The justification for the single-source acquisition is based on UEFTI being the exclusive producer of these specific IBIS® stations, and the National Integrated Ballistics Information (NIBIN) System being the only interstate automated ballistic imaging network in the United States. The procurement supports FDLE's mission to promote public safety and strengthen domestic security by providing investigative and forensic services in partnership with criminal justice agencies.
