About this file
This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) for QIAGEN Implements and Equipment. The procurement is for laboratory implements to be used in FDLE crime laboratories, with a contract term from 7/1/25 to 6/30/26. The solicitation was posted on 5/27/25 with a last day for receipt of information on 6/17/25, following the standard 15 business day posting requirement. The specific commodity is classified under UNSPSC code 41122400 for Laboratory Implements.
The intended single source vendor is QIAGEN, LLC, located in Germantown, MD, with an estimated contract value of $1,900,000.00. The justification for the single source acquisition is based on the existing QIAGEN infrastructure in FDLE's crime laboratories, including 40 QIAGEN instruments and a validated system (QIAsymphony and QIAgility) that works with the QIAGEN EZ1 extraction robot. The purchase is specifically for QIAGEN supplies and implements that are compatible with the agency's validated equipment and procedures, supporting the laboratory's mission of investigating high-profile criminal case work under Florida Statute 943.325.
