About this file
This is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) document from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) seeking to acquire four (4) FAST Forensics R9950x Custom Forensic Machines for digital forensics examination. The procurement is specifically for the FDLE's Investigations and Forensic Science (IFS) division's Orlando Regional Operations Center (OROC) Cyber Unit Task Force, with a posting date of 3/20/25 and a last day for receipt of information of 4/10/25. The machines are custom-built to replace outdated systems and enable forensic examiners to perform extractions and analysis of electronic devices such as cell phones and computers.
The estimated total dollar amount for the purchase is $42,000.00, with FAST Forensics LLC of Bradenton, Florida, identified as the intended single source vendor. The justification for single-source acquisition is that FAST Forensics custom builds forensic workstations for law enforcement agencies and is reportedly the only known vendor capable of providing a product that exactly matches the custom requirements of FDLE forensic professionals. The procurement is being conducted in accordance with Sections 120.57(3) and 287.057(3) of Florida Statutes, with the document indicating that prospective vendors are invited to provide information regarding their ability to supply the described commodities or services.
