About this file

This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). FDLE is seeking to purchase confidential hardware and software licenses related to its investigative tactics and mission to promote public safety and domestic security in Florida. The products are described as industry-specific software and a data acquisition system. The estimated dollar amount for this single source purchase is $2,300,000. FDLE has identified Cognyte, located in Bohemia, NY, as the sole provider of the proprietary technology, processes, specifications, and training that are essential to FDLE's investigative needs. The posting will remain active for at least 15 business days, with a deadline for receipt of information from prospective vendors by October 10, 2024.

The justification for this single source acquisition is that Cognyte is the sole provider of the required technology and expertise that aligns with FDLE's statutory mission and investigative tactics. This confidential hardware and software is necessary for FDLE to effectively prevent, investigate, and solve crimes while protecting Florida's citizens.
