About this file
This document is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) for the purchase of Special Operations Team (SOT) Equipment. The ITB provides answers to questions submitted by potential bidders regarding the bid specifications and requirements. The ITB covers the purchase of various SOT equipment items, with bidders allowed to offer alternate products as long as they meet or exceed the stated specifications. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, and the resulting contract will be for Leon County and the City of Tallahassee.
The ITB does not provide any details on pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements, or other financial information. The focus of the document is on clarifying the bid specifications and requirements in response to questions from potential bidders.

WRITTEN ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS
ITB 2445
Special Operations Team (SOT) Equipment
All written questions are reproduced in the same format as submitted by the Bidder.
Question #1 I had quoted FDLE a month or 2 ago for some of those items and local pickup was specified instead of shipping to avoid shipping costs. Is that still the case?
Answer #1 Any specifications for prior quotes are not applicable to this Invitation to Bid. Please reference section 2.3 of FDLE-ITB-2445.
Question #2 Under Section 2.2 Specifications I see a sentence saying, “Any other equipment offering must meet or exceed bid specifications”, I just want to make sure that this means that we could bid an alternate product?
