About this file
This document is an addendum to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) for the purchase of 240 High Rate series Data Center batteries. The ITB, conducted under Chapters 943 and 287 Florida Statutes, is seeking a single award vendor to supply the batteries. The addendum provides responses to questions received from potential vendors, including the availability of a pallet jack on-site, the need for a liftgate, and the release of bidder attendance records, which are exempt from disclosure until after the bid opening.
The contract term is for one year from the initial purchase order, with the awarded vendor's price to remain firm during that period as additional orders may be requested. Pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding sources, and other salient information are not provided in the addendum.

WRITTEN ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS
FDLE ITB 2430
DATA CENTER BATTERIES
All written questions are reproduced in the same format as submitted by the Vendor.
Question #1 Will a Pallet Jack be on site?
Answer #1 A pallet jack can be made available on-site with the condition that any damages incurred to the pallet jack during its use will necessitate the responsible vendor to ensure its repair or replacement, without incurring any cost to FDLE.
Question #2 Will a gate lift be needed?
Answer #2 FDLE does not supply a separate liftgate. The provision of a liftgate depends on the request made by the vendor ordering the batteries for installation. The delivery service, such as the Trucking Co., responsible for transporting the batteries will determine the type of vehicle used, which could be a tractor-trailer equipped with a liftgate or a delivery truck that includes a gate. Additionally, there is a standard loading dock popup ramp available to facilitate the transfer of items from the trailer to the dock.
Question #3 Please send a copy of the attendance sheet for the (Site Visit) walk through and please send a copy of the plan holder’s list.
Answer #3 Pursuant to 119.071(1)(b)2. “Sealed Bids … received pursuant to a competitive solicitation are exempt until such time as the agency provides notice of an intended decision or until 30 days after opening the bids.” Because the site visit was made a prerequisite for the submission of bids, see paragraph 1.9 of ITB 2430, records related to attendance at the site visit shall be treated as part of the sealed bid documents. FDLE is unfamiliar with the requested plan holder’s list.
Question #4 Will you be able to provide a list of attending vendors…?
Answer #4 Pursuant to 119.071(1)(b)2.
