About this file
This document is an addendum to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) for the purchase of approximately 1,000 hearing protection devices for a Law Enforcement Hearing Protection Pilot Program. The addendum provides responses to questions from potential vendors and amends the original ITB document. The hearing protection devices must meet minimum specifications, including being a commercial off-the-shelf, rechargeable, in-ear or canal-style product with a minimum Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 25 decibels and a maximum output of 80 decibels. The vendor must provide a one-year warranty on all components, including providing replacement parts, labor, and materials at no additional charge. The contract opportunity is specific to the state of Florida, with the jurisdictions of Leon County and Tampa City identified.
Pricing and funding details are not provided in the addendum. The total contract value and any set-aside requirements are also not specified. The addendum does not mention any incumbent vendors or the current environment for this type of procurement. The addendum focuses on the technical specifications and warranty requirements for the hearing protection devices.
