Questions and Answers to FDA-RFQ-1159424 Spectrometer

1. What are the lifetimes you would like to measure?

We would like to measure time from 1 ps up to 20 ns. We would like to measure not only lifetime, but mainly rotational correlation time.

2. What are you measuring? Applications? Samples?

The samples are proteins. We would like to measure lifetime and rotational correlation time of proteins in solution.

3. What are the actual excitation and emission wavelengths of interest? Are you interested in other excitation sources of interest?

The excitation wavelength is 266 nm. Emission wavelength range is from 280 nm to 350

nm. The current project only involves measurement of proteins.

4. Would you be interested in measuring longer lifetimes (phosphorescence), i.e.

microseconds or milliseconds?

No, not at this time.
