About this file

This is a Presolicitation Notice for a sole source acquisition by the Air Force for the remanufacture of F118 Front Frame components. The solicitation is estimated to issue on November 18, 2026, with a response deadline of December 18, 2026 (PR# FD20302600592).

The acquisition will be a Firm Fixed Price Requirements contract for five years consisting of one basic year plus four one-year options. The government will acquire F118 Front Frames in multiple variants identified by eight different NSN/Part Number combinations, with applications in the F118 Engine. The frames are constructed of 17-4PH Stainless Steel, measuring 60" length by 60" width by 12" height and weighing 221 pounds. Each frame provides airflow through struts for deicing air, houses scavenge and oil supply tubes, and supports vertical engine mounts. The contract requires delivery of 11 units annually (1 per month as requested, with early delivery acceptable) for each of the five contract years across five separate CLINs (0001, 1001, 2001, 3001, and 4001), with additional CLINs for over-and-above quantities and data. All deliveries are to Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. Offerors must be approved sources in accordance with FAR 52.209-1 Qualification Requirements prior to award consideration; Source Approval Requests are encouraged early submission. Unique Identification (UID) requirements apply if unit price exceeds $5,000. The solicitation will be available electronically only at www.sam.gov, with Buyer Samantha Lay (samantha.lay@us.af.mil) and PCO William Loftis (william.loftis@us.af.mil) serving as primary contacts. An Ombudsman is available at (405) 736-3273 to address offeror concerns during proposal development.
