About this file
This document contains specifications for the delivery of Fathead Minnows to the Buller Fish Hatchery and Front Royal Fish Hatchery in Virginia. The contract requires four deliveries of Fathead Minnows totaling 1,800 pounds, with deliveries occurring in March, June, and July 2023. The specifications outline the required fish conditions, health inspection protocols, and delivery logistics, including the need to contact the delivery contact, Ryan Peaslee, one week prior to each shipment. The contract opportunity is limited to jurisdictions in Virginia, specifically Shenandoah County and Smyth County.
The pricing for this contract is all-inclusive, including delivery. The contractor must ensure that only Fathead Minnows are delivered, with no other fish species or aquatic organisms present. The contractor must also present evidence of an operational plan to exclude nonnative species from the shipments, as nonnative fish cannot be released into Virginia waters without a special permit.
