About this file

This document is a sole source justification for an endoscopic specialist contract opportunity. The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 23 is seeking a firm fixed price contract for one full-time equivalent Storz Protection 1 Certified Onsite Endoscopic Specialist to provide services at the Minneapolis VA Healthcare System. The estimated cost is redacted. The justification for restricting competition is that the Storz Protection 1 endoscopic systems were purchased from and installed by Storz, and all warranties would be invalidated if the equipment was serviced by non-Storz certified personnel. The contract would be for a base year plus four option years from December 2022 through November 2027. Karl Storz Endoscopy-America, Inc. was awarded contract number 36C26323C0019 for $476,382.40 on November 30, 2022.
