About this file
This document is a sole source justification for a contract award to upgrade security equipment at Department of Veterans Affairs facilities in New York. The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Integrated Service Network 2 sought to standardize and enhance surveillance across three campuses including Manhattan, Brooklyn, and St. Albans by upgrading aging closed-circuit television systems to a Pelco video management platform. Market research found one potential small business source for Pelco products but no other sources able to meet the brand name requirement. The justification cited a security review recommending Pelco equipment. The related opportunity showed Homefront Security was awarded a contract for approximately $120,000 on September 27, 2022 to provide the security upgrade.
