About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) addendum for Solicitation FA9401-25-Q-0092 regarding an Update for a 100' High Reach Bucket Truck. Two key clarifications were addressed: (1) the aerial platform must be insulated, contrary to an initial inquiry about a non-insulated unit, and (2) a telescoping 112 unit with a maximum working height of 112 ft would be acceptable, even though the original specification requested a working height of 100 ft not to exceed 104.8 ft. The contracting agency confirmed that as long as the alternative unit meets or exceeds all original requirements, it shall be deemed acceptable for the procurement.

FA9401-25-Q-0092

Questions and Answers

• Q: “In the item under Aerial platform is requested “non-insulated”, if it is non-insulated unit a di-electric test would not be necessary, and would not be suitable for Transmission line work.”

o A: Aerial Platform must be insulated.

• Q: “The working height of 100 ft not to exceed 104.8, telescopic, limits to only one unit that will fit those parameters. Is it possible to use a telescoping 112 unit, that is infinitely adjustable, that meets or exceeds all requirements? That unit would have a maximum working height of 112 ft, based on the truck that it is mounted at this time.”

o A: For the telescoping 112 unit, as long as it meets or exceeds the requirements, it shall be deemed acceptable.
