About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for a commercial internet procurement at Edwards Air Force Base, California. The solicitation does not include a Performance Work Statement; rather, it is strictly for internet access services at 40 Mbps. Vendors are required to have all contractor-provided equipment necessary for performance installed by the service start date, with specific connection requirements detailed in the solicitation CLINs.
The proposal due date is May 26. The procurement requires a 40g/40g dedicated circuit to the 15 East Yeager Boulevard 2600 south base facility, along with managed network switch services at multiple buildings on base, including B3920B, B3920A, B310, B156G, B156F, B156CD, B156B, B156E, and B145. Additionally, vendors must meet Authority to Operate (ATO) approval requirements, though the document clarifies that the PowerPoint attachment provides only the requirements to meet upon engagement rather than instructions for becoming an approved ATO vendor. Interested parties should contact the Point of Contact listed in the slide deck for specific information regarding ATO approval procedures.

Q&A Commercial Internet at Edwards AFB, CA
1. I noticed there doesn’t seem to be a PWS attached, so I’m assuming this is strictly for Internet access at 40M—please correct me if I’m mistaken.
a. Answer: That is correct, however, the vendor will be required to have all contractor provided equipment necessary for performance installed by the service start date.
Please refer to the solicitation CLINs for connection requirements.
2. Could you confirm whether the due date is still May 26th, or has there been any update or extension? I appreciate any clarification you can provide.
a. Answer: Yes, the due date is 26 May 26.
3. The pricing spreadsheet ask for pricing for a 40g/40g dedicated circuit to 15 E Yeager Blvd but then subsequent Items list only services to B3920 – managed network switch. Is the ask for an additional managed network switch at bldg. B3920? Or an addition 40g internet circuit along with the switch?
a. Answer: The 40g/40g is for the 15 E Yeager Blvd 2600 south base facility. The managed network switch is at other buildings on base including B3920B, B3920A, B310, B156G, B156F, B156CD, B156B, B156E, B145.
4. The attached PowerPoint on this RFQ does not give instructions on how to become an approved ATO Vendor, only requirements to meet upon engagement. Where can I find the steps to make sure our firm becomes approved?
a. At this time, this is the information that was provided to us from the responsible office. Please reach out to the POC listed in the slide deck for more information as required.
